Qamar Javed Bajwa Biography
Qamar Javed Bajwa is a sheltered four- star rank army general in the Pakistan Army who served as the 10th Chief of Army Staff from 2016 to 2020.
He assumed the position on November 29, 2016, succeeding Raheel Sharif. Prior to that, he served as the Inspector General of Training and Evaluation at the Army Headquarters. He also served as the fraternity commander of Rawalpindi and Gujranwala.

Bajwa began his military career in 1978 when he graduated from the Pakistan Military Academy in Kakul. He went on to serve in colorful command and staff positions, including as a squad commander, division commander, and fraternity commander. In 2013, he was appointed as the Director General of theInter-Services Intelligence( ISI) agency, Pakistan's premier intelligence agency.
